The wait is almost over!

Yes, it reached 15C this weekend and our trusty local Millwoods Golf course opened their driving range!  My swing is a little rusty again but I couldn’t ask for a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon after being indoor all winter.

Every stall was taken and there was a pretty good queue forming too.

I guess I wasn’t the only one eager to shake off the rust and get this season rolling…

    • Jim- you know, I actually looked the tee claw up after your mention of it from he golf show. It definitely would’ve been useful here because I was toeing the true strike mat when reaching for the ball on the weirdly positioned rubber tee.

  1. Indeed, golf season is almost upon us! I just got back from a 3 month road trip down in the states and up the west coast which was tough to come back from, but luckily the weather has been great which should make for an early golf season here.

I didn’t realize you were from Edmonton, I’m down in Calgary!

    Cheers

    • Hey Josh- I’ve been quietly following you on your golf road trip at golf is mental (with plenty of envy, I might add). Congratulations on getting married! I really enjoy reading all your course reviews.

I heard Calgary courses (temp greens) were already open last weekend so I think you came back right at the perfect time.

      • Thank you! It was quite the trip. If only I can figure out a way to do that every year haha! Yes, it’s shaping up to be a good spring here in Alberta, always good to be home. My home course will probably hold off on opening for a little while, but the range is open at least!

        Cheers
        Josh
